Wasteland

The underlying surface has changed beyond recognition. Civilizations of the past have been left behind, but people who have survived the mutations and adapted to the radiation atmosphere have begun to inhabit the Badlands. Their settlements are built from the technology of the Old World, unsightly and simple, but this has not prevented them from developing their economy, communication, and trade. The inhabitants call themselves people of the present, though their appearance bears little resemblance to the familiar human. Wasteland is so mysterious that it is hard to judge what is true and what is fiction.
